"I walked the 1/2 Marathon at Huntington Beach on 01/07/10 -- my first time walking alone. Shortly after the start people began tapping me as they walked by and I started to worry that I was doing something wrong. Then a runner said as he passed... "love your shirt!" and I realized why everyone was tapping me. The shirt with "Dear God, Please let there be someone behind me to read this" was what I was wearing and received such a tremendous response, it helped me get through the 13.1 miles. Some of the runners called out to me on their way back and said "Don't worry, you still have someone behind you!" One person told me she was about ready to give up until reading my shirt and knew then she could make it. Thanks One More Mile!"
